Bell Media is looking for a Publicity Intern to support internal and external communications initiatives for some of its priority original and acquired programming across multiple brands. 

 

You can expect to:

  • Work closely with the marketing, events, digital, news, and social media teams
  • Develop contacts among members of the media

 

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will bring a keen understanding of the media landscape, social media savvy, exceptional organizational skills, and a team-first approach, and assist with communication duties. Although administrative in nature, is vital to the efficiency of the network’s communication efforts and will include:

  • Maintaining and updating show pages on media site (The Lede)
  • Opportunity to write original content and blog posts for Bell Media’s media site, The Lede.
  • Drafting media alerts, screener emails, and other media correspondence
  • Sourcing press materials from distribution websites including, episodic images, log lines, series synopsis and more.
  • Supporting communications team with aspects of event/press day planning
  • Daily media monitoring of our programs
  • Media coverage reports

 

Qualifications

  • Must be enrolled in a University/College program specializing in communications
  • Exceptional communications skills
  • A passionate interest for a career in entertainment communications
  • Commitment to learning
  • Demonstrated professionalism in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Must be a dynamic self-starter and team player
  • Must have computer software knowledge and experience in Outlook, Word, Excel, and possess excellent internet researching skills
  • Ability to work to meet deadlines
  • Ability to work under terms of confidentiality

Bilingualism is an asset (English and French); adequate knowledge of French is required for positions in Quebec.
