With more than 40 key partners across Canada, Astral Media Outdoor maintains a dominant position in the field of advertising in educational institutions. To support its growth and strategy, Astral is looking for a Partnerships Coordinator, reporting to the Manager, Concessions and Operations.

 

In an environment where teamwork, a sense of urgency, communication and attention to detail are of the utmost importance, you will have the opportunity to lead multiple projects and manage multiple partners. Your range of tasks will be very varied and will give you the chance to touch many aspects of the management of advertising partnerships in a large media company. 

 

Main responsibilities relating to the position:

Partnership Management

  • Manage the relationship with the partners on a regular basis. The person in this position is the first point of contact for the partners and must master the contractual and operational aspects of each of the concessions
  • Coordination of operational activities: inventory update, maintenance, construction. The person will have to follow up with internal (operations) and external (partners, suppliers) stakeholders and ensure problems are resolved and systems updated
  • Contractual monitoring: update SAP based on contracts and inventory changes. Update contracts as needed: extension, renegotiation, etc.  Coordinate with finance and legal team to ensure alignment with objectives and internal rules
  • Payment validation and approval (MAG, revenue share, scholarships etc.)
  • Monitoring of external allocations (media plan made by sales) and development of internal allocations
  • Maintenance and organization of documents according to existing methods and processes
  • Special Projects: as needed, several special projects may be implemented each year, such as: update of concessions maps, implementation of a standard contract form, etc

 

Analysis

  • Development and update of dashboards: define KPIs (with the Managers’ help) and build a monitoring tool including but not limited to contractual, inventory and financial data
  • Monitor budgets, plan and track profitability and assess the overall financial performance by concession

 

Projects and Business Development

  • Business Proposals support: the coordinator, through her/his knowledge of the partners and the concessions, will be a key player in the preparation of tenders
  • Site visits to strengthen the partner relationship, to assess new business opportunities and/or to offer new products or withdrawals according to the division strategy

 

Knowledge / skils required:

  • Excellent organizational skills, thoroughness and precision
  • Demonstrate leadership and strong teamwork
  • Ability to maintain good interpersonal relations, to establish priorities, to work on several files simultaneously
  • Demonstrate the skills to communicate effectively, to adapt to unforeseen events and demonstrate an ability to resolve problems quickly
  • Have good judgment, a sense of responsibility, and a good capacity for analysis, synthesis and decision making
  • 2-3 years of experience in advertising concession management, contract management, customer support or other related field, an asset
  • Bilingualism, French and English, oral and written (essential)
  • Proficiency in Office Suite; Excel, Word and PowerPoint (tools used on a daily basis)
  • Knowledge of Astral products – an asset
