Our Network team plans, designs, builds and operates Bell’s multi-billion dollar networks, including the continued expansion of our fibre optic network, HSPA+ and LTE —  Canada’s largest and fastest wireless network.

 

The service we provide is the foundation of Bell’s competitive advantage and a critical step towards achieving Bell’s goal to be recognized by customers as Canada’s leading communications company.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Digitizing legacy tape content to file format
  • Recording, ingesting & technical evaluation of all media being prepared for broadcast
  • Encoding close captioning and described video to media
  • Transfers to and from various broadcast formats
  • Liaise with and between various Bell Media departments

 

Qualifications:

  • Minimum two years experience in a broadcast environment
  • A sense of logistics and organization to plan resource traffic
  • Editing skills in a machine-to-machine and non-linear (file based) environments
  • Extensive knowledge of various VTR formats (including DigiBeta, Beta SX, IMX, HDCam, SRW, XDCam), server based technologies, Harris Automation Systems various file formats
  • Position requires demonstrated computer literacy
  • Post-secondary education in broadcasting or a related field would be an asset
  • Bilingualism is an asset (English and French)

 

Bilingualism is an asset (English and French); adequate knowledge of French is required for positions in Quebec.
