We are looking for an Associate,  Merchandising -  Projects, who will be responsible to administer and organize all types of projects, from supporting simple to more complex initiatives within the Merchandising team.

 

The Associate, Merchandising - Projects responsibilities include working closely with our Senior Project Manager to support preparation of comprehensive action plans, including resources, timeframes and compiling budgets for projects. The position is responsible to perform various coordinating tasks, like schedule and risk management, along with administrative duties, like maintaining project documentation and handling financial queries. To succeed in this role, the successful candidate will need excellent organization, time management and communication skills, as this position collaborates with a number of key stakeholders - Project sponsors, vendors and internal teams - to deliver within deadline.

 

Ultimately, the Associate, Merchandising -  Projects duties support ensuring that all projects are completed on time, within budget and meet high quality standards.

 

Job Duties/Accountabilities:

  • Coordinate project management activities, resources and information

  • Provide an outline of recommended project tasks and timeframes to the Sr. Project Manager

  • Liaise with cross-functional teams to gather information with the purpose of identifying and defining requirements, scope and objectives

  • Assist with schedule management and recommend task primes

  • Connect with the Project Sponsor throughout the project to validate objectives have not evolved

  • Support the Senior Project Manager in new product launches

  • Support the Sr. Project Manager by gathering information for preparation of project budgets

  • Create process maps using Microsoft Visio

  • Oversee project procurement and report any issues to the Sr. Project Manager for resolution

  • Monitor project progress and communicate any issues identified; support resolution when in-scope for role

  • Act as the point of contact and communicate project status to all participants

  • Support the Senior Project Manager to eliminate blocks to project completion

  • Issue all appropriate legal paperwork (e.g. contracts and terms of agreement)

  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation, plans and reports

 

Critical Qualifications/Competencies: 

  • Proven work experience as a Project Coordinator or similar role

  • Experience in project management, from conception to delivery

  • An ability to prepare and interpret flowcharts, schedules and step-by-step action plans

  • Solid organizational skills, including multitasking and time-management

  • Strong internal stakeholder management, vendor facing and teamwork skills

  • Familiarity with risk management and quality assurance control

  • Hands-on experience with project management tools (e.g.MS Projects, MS Visio, MS excel, PowerPoint)

  • Business Administration or Project management related field

  • CAPM/PMP certification or working towards achieving one is a plus
