Position: Assistant Director
Job Status: Regular- Full time
Salary: Commensurate with qualifications and experience
Location: 1755 Rene-Levesque Est, Montreal, QC.
The incumbent is responsible for assisting the Producer and Director with all stages of production, design and execution, with a view to producing shows (live and delayed) in the control room or mobile unit within the prescribed timelines and ensuring professional presentation.
Main accountabilities:
- Draft and prepare the cue sheet in Inews
- Liaise with the Traffic department for commercial formats
- Liaise with Sales for sponsorship elements
- Liaise with the presentation coordinator
- Assist in the airing of shows
- Liaise with the technical team at all stages of production
- Manage and produce certain show elements
- Carry out other related tasks, as needed
The incumbent must work in accordance with the standards recognized and implemented by Bell Media, the sector’s objectives, and the company’s mission and values.
Qualifications:
- College diploma in television production or equivalent training combined with three years' relevant experience
- Organizational and prioritization skills
- Initiative
- Good control of timing
- Ability to remain efficient under the extreme pressure of live production
- Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills, showing tact and diplomacy
- Ability to manage tight deadlines
- Knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Inews software
- Good knowledge of sports in general
- Bilingual (French and English)
Bilingualism is required (English and French); adequate knowledge of French is required for positions in Quebec.
