Governance Manager

Governance Manager and Administrative Professional needed for our nonprofit client in the healthcare industry.

This is a dynamic role, that will require experience within the nonprofit industry, and a candidate who has strong administrative and logistic skills with governance and functional management skills.

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Assist in various upcoming projects and events over the next 7 months. Including but not limited to;
  • Carry out the board election process; running the online nominations and elections, and reporting on the outcome;
  • Coordinate the logistics for organizations Annual General Meeting, recruiting volunteers, coordinating in-person meetings, setting up online hosts;
  • Ongoing projects with the Communications, Member Services Departments;
  • Provide continued governance support to the Board of Directors


Qualifications and Experience
  • Valid Passport and eligibility to travel to the United States
  • Governance experience
  • Understanding of bylaws and the process' and procedures in a nonprofit environment
  • Ability to work independently
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and spoken
  • 3+ years' working in a similar role or capacity

Overtime and travel dates required:

- December 16th (Saturday) in Ottawa
- First weekend of February in Ottawa
- Last weekend of March in Ottawa
-June 26-30th to travel to United States
