Behind the scenes of the TalentEgg office decorating team challenge

Last week, TalentEgg staff members participated in a chouprojects challenge which tasked us with decorating our offices at The Egg Carton around a theme or brand and presenting it to the rest of the team on Friday afternoon.

The reason we had the staff members take on this activity was because we had finalized after several months the extension to the building! It took many many months and it definitely affected our productivity at times, but at last it has been completed and we get to move in and make the place our own. The final touches that marked the expansion as completed were done by Locksmith Birmingham, who thankfully for us were actually very quick and effective. They came in, installed all the locks and security we requested promptly and without any hitches. After waiting for many months and dealing with different providers for the different services such a project required, it was a breath of fresh air dealing with such professionals. They were even nice enough to make a few suggestions we hadn’t considered and that we are going to be doing in the future. We know they’re great at their job after all.

With this project finally completed we could move in and decorate the place to make it ours. There’s nothing fun about a boring office building, but warming the place up with our personal touches makes for a great place we want to come to work at and the use of furniture such as Live edge conference tables are great to re arrange the office environment. While thinking of the best way to do this we thought of this contest. We really felt we needed a break so we decided to for it. We decided that each of the three teams would be given a small budget and we were told we would be judged by TalentEgg Founder Lauren Friese on creativity, difficulty and aesthetic pleasantness. The prize remained a mystery until the winning team was announced.

How did the three teams of TalentEgg-ers fare? Check out our gallery of photos from the big reveals below. Just click on a thumbnail to view the full-sized photo and then continue browsing through the rest of the gallery.

We all had a ton of fun shopping, creating and decorating together; it was an egg-cellent team building activity! Thanks Lauren!

Students and recent grads: now it’s your turn! Tag us in your own summer office photo this week on Facebook (or email it to for a chance to be featured on TalentEgg! The winner will be announced Friday, July 20.
