These amounts are based on entry-level salaries in the field for 2010. The accounting industry is expected to experience 18% job growth in the coming years. It is also expected that more than 124,000 jobs will be available for Auditors, Accountants and Investment Professionals until 2018, but only about 119,000 people will be able to fill these roles. Due to this shortage, accounting is currently a very in-demand industry.
