Public Health Resource Nurse (Relief Full Time)
The Public Health Resource Nurse (PHRN) provides Public Health (PH) nursing clinical advice, support, mentorship and education to personnel responsible for delivery of public health services in Primary Care Homes (PCHs) and interprofessional teams (IPTs). The PHRN is responsible for all aspects of assessing, planning, organizing, managing, and evaluating Public Health support and for monitoring, evaluating and reporting on public health key indicators. This position also plays an important role in coordinating the delivery of local mass immunization clinics, the local Public Health response to a Public Health crisis, and the follow up and management of complex communicable diseases. Reporting to the Public Health Program Leader, the PHRN works in collaboration with the Regional Public Health Leads, the IPT Leads, Primary Care Nurses (PCNs), and the Community Service Managers (CSMs).
- Baccalaureate degree in Nursing in two (2) years recent, related public health nursing experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
- Current practicing license with the College of Registered Nurses of BC (CRNBC).
- Current BCCDC Immunization Certification.
- Current CPR certification at the basic life support level.
- Class V Driver's License
