Cook Ii/Food Service Worker - Qci (Casual)
Under the direction of the Food Service Supervisor for Parkside/Gateway, this position, prepares and portions out assigned food items and assists the Resident Planning Committee in the planning for resident menus and special functions. Responsible for maintaining cleanliness of the work area and giving direction to dietary staff in the absence of the designated supervisor. Performs a variety of duties by procedures such as blending, slicing, preparing salads and sandwiches, portioning desserts and serving resident meals including therapeutic diet items according to nutrition care plans, preparing items such as tea, coffee and toast, and washing dishes, pots, pans and utensils.
- Graduation from a recognized 12 month program in cooking plus one (1) year's recent related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
