Position Overview

Start Date: January 2nd, 2017;
Work Term Length: 8-12 months;
Education: 3rd, or 4th year Supply Chain Management student;
Eligibility: Student must be enrolled in a formal co-op/internship program with their post-secondary institution;
Number of positions available: 1;
Business Unit: SCM - Logistics Transportation;

Job Duties & Responsibilities

The Supply Chain Management Co-op Student will be a support function to the Supply Chain Group disciplines listed below, with responsibilities including:

• Contracts - participating in the tender process, bid reviews to award, working with contract administrators to gain an understanding of managing an active contract;

• Materials Management - Supporting annual physical inventory counts, master data, and working within SAP to keep records current;

• Logistics and Transportation - training on handling daily transportation requirements such as regulations, documentation, dangerous good requirements, dispatching and monitoring movement of freight, and rates, as well as ensuring files are current and accurate;

• Trade Compliance - working with customs analysts to ensure all trade documentation is kept current and filed accurately, as well as being trained on customs clearance processes and audits of transactions;

• Purchasing - sourcing quotations under the guidance of the purchasing lead, evaluating quotes and working with the purchasing lead on issuing purchase orders
