Job Description

IBM is looking for a Territory Sales Specialist, to sell IBM software security solutions across Quebec . The candidate must have a multi-year track record of success in security software sales, is fluid in both French and English and will ideally have a strong background in Security and experience with Public Sector customers. Solutions represented will include, but are not limited to:

  • Security and lifecycle management for Endpoint and Mobile (Bigfix and Fiberlink)
  • Security intelligence and event management (Qradar)
  • Threat protection (XGS/Proventia)
  • Database Security (Guardium)
  • Application security for development (AppScan)
  • Identity and Access Management, Automation, Governance and Intelligence (multiple products)

A successful candidate :

  • Has strong French and English language communication skills
  • Has the discipline to plan and execute 10 client calls per week, with the right message, to qualified buyers and influencers
  • Has the ability to leverage the entire ecosystem of IBM, to drive prospecting, progression and closure
  • Has an ability to translate product feature/function into business benefit and return on investment
  • Has strong verbal communication skills, and extensive experience giving presentations, and leading vision oriented white board discussions
  • Has strong written communication skills - specifically, the ability to distil complex messages into concise executive summaries, that capture why IBM and why now
  • Can anticipate and overcome people and process objections to technology adoption.
  • Has excellent opportunity qualification skills
  • Has extensive territory management experience.
  • Demonstrates rigor in daily/weekly communication of forecast and deal status, via CRM systems
  • ITIL foundation certification is an asset.
  • Strong preference will be given to candidates with excellent client relationships, and especially candidates with public sector experience in Quebec.

Travel Required:

Up to 25% or 2 days a week (home on weekends- based on project requirements)

Required Education:

Bachelor's Degree

Required Technical and Professional Expertise:

  • Has excellent opportunity qualification skills

Preferred Technical and Professional Experience:

  • ITIL foundation certification is an asset.
  • Strong preference will be given to candidates with excellent client relationships, and especially candidates with public sector experience in Quebec.
