We are seeking a Social Portfolio Digital Software Sales representative to join a dedicated sales team focused on the development of new business opportunities for IBM Canada while gaining valuable industry and solution experience that will enrich your working career. You will work in a dedicated territory with IBM Business Partners to create solutions which are tailored to client's business needs and integrate IBM's Social Portfolio capabilities.

In this position a seller is responsible for generating leads and selling software solutions (transactional and SaaS) to existing and new clients in an assigned territory. They are responsible for client satisfaction and for revenue generation via frequent communications within a large and diverse territory assignment. They identify opportunities and works with, engage, or lead a team including other Sales Specialists, Business Partners, Influencers and others as appropriate. This role validates, qualifies, and prioritizes opportunities and performs as the central point to pull together the elements of a complete customer solution. The candidate will be responsible for populating and maintaining a customer records database to support opportunity pipeline management. They ensure that the customer understands the solution and its benefits, pricing, delivery, warranty and contract information and any other relevant terms and conditions and follow up on quotes and contract submissions within IBM and with the customer to accelerate and close the sale. This role engages, builds relationships and works effectively with business partners and influencers to ensure their participation in successful, cost effective achievement of sales objectives.

The successful candidate will be a self motivator with the ability to work in a ever changing, high volume environment. This full-time position is on a sales plan and will be located in Markham, ON.

Key Responsibilities:

  • * Meet and exceed sales revenue targets in assigned territory
  • * Maintain strong relationships with executives and influencers in the IT and Line of Business organizations in your assigned territory
  • * Ensure high client satisfaction
  • * Drive new opportunity identification by leveraging sales plays and prospecting activities
  • * Create solutions which are tailored to client's business needs and integrates the brand capabilities in a way that is valued by the customer
  • * Progress and close opportunities directly and with our Business Partner community
  • * Demonstrate sales leadership and territory management including weekly cadence reviews with your Manager
  • * Team and collaborate with other teams within IBM (Business Units, Client teams, Marketing, etc..)
  • * Work with IBM Business Partners to broaden reach into the marketplace
  • * Leverage digital and social tools to reach new clients and contacts

Key Qualifications:

  • * Previous sales experience and proven track record of sales success; preferably in Software
  • * Prospecting skills in penetrating enterprise and mid-market territories
  • * Experience working with Business Partners
  • * Motivated self starter with strong communications and teaming skills
  • * Proven problem solving skills
  • * Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast paced environment
  • * Results driven
