The data scientist will interface with the GTS Canada sector accounts to: 1) identify key data components to be included within the analysis; 2) design & development of the dataset (includes normalizing data, data scrubbing, joining datasets, building business logic within the dataset, automation of data maintenance); 3) design and creation of visual dashboards within IBM Watson Analytics (working with the accounts to customize the dashboard to meet their requirements); 4) perform on-going analytics based on the datasets / dashboards - communicating to the accounts (and clients) drivers for continual improvement; and 5) where required build and maintain automation modules related to data management.


Required Technical and Professional Expertise:

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to interface with all levels of management (both IBM internal & client facing).
  • Ability to work well independently and in a team based environment with local, global, and remote team members.
  • Extensive Excel Skills (Includes: formulas & macro development)
  • Data Science Knowledge
  • IT Operational Process Knowledge (for example: Incident, Problem, Change Processes)

Preferred Technical and Professional Experience:

Experience with Tableau and/ or Watson Analytics are preferred.
