This is a technical pre-sales and post-sales role. The successful candidate will be customer facing and responsible for leading the discovery of the technical requirements necessary to then design an appropriate cognitive based solution, including presenting the technical solution and services to the customer. Ideal candidates will have architecture experience for large enterprises, working with HPC clusters, Analytics and AI/ML/DL

In the role of the Cognitive Systems Technical Specialist you will be responsible for the following:

  • Leading hands on development of Cognitive solutions with clients co-creating new ways of doing business to solve Customer's emerging business and technical requirements
  • Leading solution design of infrastructure to support Cognitive, High Performance Data Analytics (HPDA) and High Performance Computing (HPC) solutions
  • Developing and proving the Systems infrastructure value proposition through using hands on technical accelerators and methods with clients
  • Leveraging the local ecosystem of ISVâ??s and services providers to increase our value and capability
  • Teaming with and leveraging the Cognitive solutions units, offerings teams, R&D; and global infrastructure
  • Working with deployment teams to assist in the delivery of customer solutions

Key Skills/Experience Required:

  • 3 years experience in a technical pre-sales role designing and deploying complex solutions
  • 2 years experience in scripting (perl, python), experience in system management and installation
  • 2 years experience in knowledge and hands on experience in Linux
  • 2 years experience in pre-sale of Big Data architecture in a high performance computing environment
  • 2 years experience in bridging from data scientist to CIO
  • 2 years experience in one or more of the following: Hardware Processor Architectures & Systems, GPUs, ethernet networking (Switching, Routing, VLAN), Infiniband, Flash and disk systems, ESS or Software: Linux OS and Scripting, Spectrum Scale (GPFS), Platform cluster manager (or XCAT), Platform LSF, MPI Programming Environment, OpenMP or HADOOP configuration and performance optimization\
  • Bilingualism is an asset (English and French)
  • Able and willing to travel up to 50%

Required Education: Bachelor's Degree

Preferred Education: Master's Degree

Required Technical and Professional Expertise:
