What has your training been like?
The training in my initial three months was very structured, which sets a good foundation. A lot of "on the job" training occurs day to day, and you learn a lot from various people in the business, whether they've been here 15 days or 15 years.

What advice would you give to someone considering applying for a job with Hays?
If you want to work in an environment where you’ll be rewarded based on the amount of work you put in, it’s a great place to work.

Why did you want to work in recruitment?
I like the challenge of finding good candidates for good jobs. I enjoy the ups and downs of the job and I like working towards financial and activity goals.

What advice would you give to someone considering applying for a job with Hays?
Talk to as many people in the industry as you can to understand what the job of a recruiter is before you commit to it. Make sure you are prepared to work hard and push yourself out of your comfort zone.

Why did you choose to work for Hays?
I decided to go with Hays because the training program seemed focused and practical. I wanted to join an agency that has a continued focus on training.

What advice would you give to someone considering applying for a job with Hays?
The normal piece of advice that I tell people is be prepared to work very hard, but when you start to see the rewards, it all starts to make sense. You’ll be working with ambitious and competitive people that like to have a laugh.
