Team & Job Overview

We are looking for a dynamic student who will be part of a newly formed team that will provide support to the 9 HR functions within the group which provides service to roughly 1,500 employees. Human Resources will deliver an employee experience that is "simple, relevant, caring" by providing predictable and timely HR service via multiple channels (online, email, phone, in-person). The Student will provide administrative support to the greater HR group. Responsibilities will include creating presentations and reports, coordinating training logistics, tracking and follow-up on HR program execution. This role will also be responsible for providing back up to various functions within the HR Administrative Coordination Team. The Student will have the opportunity to do cross functional learning and help contribute to the EDC 2020 goals.

Qualifications

Our Ideal Student:

  • Currently enrolled or recently graduated from an Undergraduate or Graduate Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources or in a related field

  • Has previous work term experience related to their field of study

  • Strong computer systems skills: Excel (basic formulas and pivot tables), and Word, and has Hands on experience with an HR system (i.e Peoplesoft HCM)

  • High attention to detail

  • Working knowledge of human resources management principles and practices

  • Enthusiasm to tackle any task, whether menial or complex

  • Bilingual in both official languages (French and English)
