EDC is Canada’s export credit agency, offering innovative commercial solutions to help Canadian exporters and investors expand their international business. EDC’s knowledge and partnerships are used by more than 8,400 Canadian companies and their global customers in up to 200 markets worldwide each year.
Working at EDC means your decisions can affect the bottom line of Canada’s exporters; your expertise can guide their strategies and your ideas can shape their plans. Each day brings new challenges, requiring the best of your skills, ideas and innovative thinking. You’ll build relationships with some of the brightest and most talented minds in Canada and around the world as you work together to support the success of our clients. Our student development opportunities include work terms and co-op programs – all designed to give your career a head start.
Our world is changing and we need to increase our nimbleness to execute more quickly and do different things. We want EDC to not only remain relevant in the market, but to lead the market internationally. Through Project Alpha, we have seized the opportunity to review our strategic direction & operating model for Financing & Investments (F&I). We want to build from our position of strength and enhance efficiency in order to free up some capacity to do more for Canadian businesses. Our objective is not raising headcounts, but to actually become more efficient in our day to day work and more agile to respond to customers’ needs. We want customers to feel that EDC is ONE organization, and that WE are contributing to their success. Through Project Alpha, we will evolve F&I for a better optimization and standardization.
Our student(s) will help us define and document the current state of F&I to help prepare us for the future state. This is mainly accomplished through Visio, Excel and MS Word. In addition the student(s) will help us maintain the SharePoint site associated with the project.
