Reporting to the Project Manager, the Student Field Coordinator Assistant will be responsible for providing support to the Above Ground Stations Segment of the OLRT project.

This is a term position - four (4) months starting May 1 - September 1, 2017- located in Ottawa, Ontario.

In the position of Student Field Coordinator Assistant  we would ask you to do the following:

  • Maintaining records and communicating the required information to the relevant parties;
  • Conducting site reviews as necessary to maintain punch list reports;
  • Assisting with the coordination of project administrative functions, shop drawing control, change order control, purchasing, and general office requirements;
  • Assisting with the organization and maintenance of project files, records, systems and procedures;
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required skills, knowledge and abilities:

  • Must be a current Civil Engineering student at an accredited college or university; enrollment in a co-op or internship program is preferred;
  • Completion of 2nd or 3rd year studies preferred;
  • Proficiency with the MS Office suite is required;
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills;
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Preference will be given to candidates who have experience with one or more of the following:
  • Reading and understanding engineering drawings;
  • Working in a construction environment;
  • MS Project;
  • Primavera.
