The successful candidate will be integral to the Confederation Line testing and commissioning activities. The project coordinator will be responsible to assist and administer the T&C area work permit process.

In the position of Project Coordinator we would ask you to do the following:

  • Assists possession coordinator in her duties;
  • Coordinates and manages the T&C area work permit process;
    • Chairs weekly planning meeting
    • Issues daily and weekly guideway/area possession schedule
    • Creates weekly work packages for Control Centre & applicants based on approved work permits
  • Coordinate with applicants for obtaining complete information necessary to evaluate the permit application approval by T&C prior to work planning meeting;
  • Prioritize work requests & coordinate with relevant parties to accommodate changes and solving challenges that are posed in the fast paced T&C environment;
  • Prepare for the weekly coordination meetings, identifying conflicts amongst work requests and recommending solutions that favors successful project completion;
  • Works with System Specialists, T&C Area Coordinators, vendors & safety to ensure all preparatory works, including test procedures, equipment, and staff are ready for the planned test;
  • Prepared to work afternoon or night shift;

Required skills, knowledge and abilities:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a construction coordination role;
  • Must be exceptionally organized;
  • Must follow Testing & Commissioning ¬†Rules and Procedures to provide a safe testing environment;
  • Must be able to deal with competing priorities and manage their time appropriately;
  • Strong knowledge of worksite safe working practices; ability to implement and follow the T&C Safety Plan;
  • Ability to work independently with minimal instruction and as directed by the activities defined in the Testing & Commissioning Schedule;
  • Ability to work in a team environment or independently with excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills;
  • Ability to record and produce meeting minutes;
  • Working knowledge of MS Office 2007 and Outlook.
