BMO is in the process of building its next generation Market Risk platform. The platform is being built with best-of-breed technologies which will provide the flexibility required to meet tomorrow’s regulatory requirements for both Market Risk. The platform computes VaR, Stress-VaR, and performs Stress Testing, using both ModelVaR and HistoVaR approaches. 

In joining the Market Risk Technology Simulation team, you will become an integral part of the team that develops the computations for Market Risk and Counterparty Risk calculations for all of Global Capital Markets. These calculations include Value at Risk (VaR) Stress VaR, peak exposure and expected exposure. Commodities, Equities, Rates, Credit , FX and Fixed Income are covered. Given the current focus of both US and Canadian regulators on Market Risk and Counterparty Risk capabilities, this is a high profile opportunity. 

Design and document analytical function of Market Risk NextGen framework. 
Analyze the result from new functions added to the framework. Provide explanation to the valuation difference from each quantitative change. 
Liase with other team members to trouble shoot problems and devise solutions to problems. 
Liase with Market Risk, Model Review, QA and Deployment teams.


Bachelor degree in a quantitative subject; Financial Engineering is a plus. 
Familiar with quantitative financial model and pricing. 
Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing. . 
Excellent problem identification and resolution skills.
