Whether you’re working your way through school or recently graduated, Agrium can provide you with the work experience to grow your career. Are you looking for industrial site experience? Interested in working at our head office as a Marketing & Sales Trainee? Like to take advantage of the only Employer-sponsored, four-year, Engineer-in-Training program available in Canada? Wherever you’ve set your career path, Agrium Wholesale can help you grow it in the right direction! Agrium wholesale has two programs for new graduates:
Engineer-in-Training (EIT) Program
Agrium Wholesale encourages the technical development process of our engineering employees. We believe that on-the-job training for engineers continues the technical base achieved at university, further, it supports our results oriented approach to success. As such, Agrium Wholesale has developed a four-year Engineer-in-Training (EIT) Program to combine both university and on-the-job experience for a well-rounded technical training.
EIT and new graduate recruiting begins in the fall.
Marketing and Sales Trainees
Agrium Wholesale’s Marketing & Sales Trainee Program develops new graduates into well-rounded business resources ready to step into a variety of areas within Marketing and Distribution. Participants develop the technical and/or professional capabilities along with a basic understanding of Agrium Wholesale’s businesses.
Program Length
The Wholesale Marketing & Distribution program is a two to four-year program, consisting of 4 job rotations.
Job Rotations
The majority of the employees’ training and development occurs on the job. The primary focus is to develop the employee through regular job rotations that provide exposure and experience in a variety of areas. The roles offer the opportunity to develop business, technical and leadership expertise.
The rotations are 3 - 6months in length, depending on the role/project, and are in the areas of sales, customer service, transportation and marketing. There is also one rotation outside of the Marketing and Distribution area in order to expose the employee more broadly to the business.
Mentoring
To further support program participants in their development, a mentor will be assigned to each new graduate to assist them throughout the program.
